You must undergo a thorough medical and psychological evaluation to determine whether you are qualified to become an egg donor at Asian Egg Bank.
Will recipients know who I am?
No. Unless you specifically request that you wish to meet recipients and/or disclose personal information to them, you will remain anonymous.
Identifying information including your full name, address, phone number and email address remains confidential. Information that is disclosed to recipients is limited to your medical history, educational background, and your physical characteristics.
How much time does the medical screening take?
You will see a physician for the initial medical screening, which includes an ultrasound, physical exam and blood tests on the 2nd or 3rd day of your period. This is a one-time visit, and takes approximately 1½ hours. Additional evaluations are conducted by phone after you complete the initial medical screening.
How long does it take to complete an egg donation treatment?
It takes approximately 10 – 14 days to complete the treatment. During this time, you will be required to visit the clinic for blood work and ultrasound evaluations approximately every other day.
How many times can I donate?
Some egg donors wish to donate more than once. According to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), an egg donor may donate up to 6 times during her lifetime. Asian Egg Bank supports this policy.
When will I receive my compensation?
Compensation is given to donors within 7 days following an egg retrieval.
