Women between the ages 21 and 29 in good physical and mental health can be candidates for egg donation at our San Diego Egg Donation Agency.

6 Steps to Becoming an Egg Donor

Do you qualify to become an egg donor?  Fill out this brief screening form to find out.

If your screening form is approved, you will be asked to fill out a detailed application.

Join Our Donor Database

If your application is approved, you will be able to join our egg donor database.

Match With Intended Parents

Egg donors undergo medical, psychological, and genetic evaluations so we can make the most optimal match with intended parents. We provide these evaluations at no cost to you.

Ovarian Stimulation

You will receive injectable hormone medications and assessments over the course of 10-14 days to prepare you for an egg retrieval.

Egg Retrieval

Your eggs will be retrieved in a short, 15-20 minute outpatient procedure during which you will undergo light IV sedation.

According to the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), financial compensation for egg donors should be structured to acknowledge the time, inconvenience, and discomfort associated with screening, ovarian stimulation, and egg retrieval. At Asian Egg Bank, the rate of compensation our egg donors receive is between $7,000 – $12,000.  In some cases, experienced egg donors may request a higher rate of compensation.  Egg donors receive compensation regardless of the quantity of eggs that are retrieved.

Asian Egg Bank compensates egg donors for all reasonable expenses pertaining to travel and accomodations.

Car travel is reimbursed according to the current IRS mileage rate. If an egg donor does not drive, expenses will be reimbursed for travel required during the egg donation process.  If it is necessary to travel by airplane, compensation for coach air fare is provided.

If an egg donor is required to stay overnight during the egg donation process, hotel accommodations near the facility will be provided.

Other Expenses

Out-of-town egg donors receive a per diem rate of $50/day for living expenses during their stay in San Diego.

Costs incurred for medical and psychological evaluations, genetic counseling, in vitro fertilization medications, and egg retrieval procedures are paid by Asian Egg Bank. In addition, we cover all costs pertaining to egg donor insurance and attorney fees.
